Mountain Biking Morning

This beautiful, sunny, morning Martha and I headed out for a short mountain bike ride around the lake. We encountered a half dozen plundered turtle egg nests near the Tom Thomson Portage, had an osprey fly overhead, scattered a couple of deer who were grazing the water lilies at one of the ponds that feeds our lake and watched a great blue heron circle overhead.
In the pond, the yellow water lilies were bursting. I’m sure a hungry moose will be dining there soon.
We have a half dozen or so mountain bikes for use on the forgotten trails that are ripe for exploring. We usually put together a mountain bike adventure as part of group retreats whether for friends and family or execs looking to relax.
