First Skaters take to the Ice
Matt (Aiden’s dad) and Chris (Wendy’s guy) spent an hour or so prepping the ice for skating at yesterday’s Northern Edge Algonquin staff party.
A few folks went for a ski, others a sled, while Matt and Chris got the nets out and laced ‘em up for a few laps around the Olympic size rink!
Todd, Greg and Vicki enjoyed a game of Scrabble, before we came together for a delicious pot luck dinner and re-gift exchange for our annual holiday gathering.
Our re-gift exchange was quite fun. Everyone brought a gift that they already had in their posession and they were unwrapped and swapped by the roll of a die and an old take from your neighbour if you like their gift better game.
Congrats to Melissa on the take home of the night, a colourful running outfit from Australia . . . let’s hope we see it when we head to Ottawa for the Marathon and Half Marathon next May!
