Sounds and Sights of early summer at the Edge of Algonquin Park
A flock of at least 60 Canada geese sit in the northeast corner of our lake honking away….
Yellow Eastern Swallowtail butterflies flit about . . . a few dragon flies have emerged, I’m sure there will be many more this week
More than a few moose amble along the road in the evening . . .
Song birds put forth their melodies all through the day, I’ve got to learn who is who, different birds join the chorus in the am, mid day and evening . . .
A few giant snapping turtles are laying eggs in the gravel near some of the ponds . . .
and last night, the sound of canoe paddles dipped in the water as Martha and I enjoyed a short canoe ride around the lake.
