Winter - lovin’ it.
What’s it like living in Ontario’s Near North on the edge of Algonquin Provincial Park? Last night Martha and I went on a backcountry ski that included a tour of Kayawaymog Lake, then a ski down a trail to One-a-Day Lake, before heading back through the woods toward home.
The snow is not deep this year, but it is plenty white . . . and cold from time to time. It’s funny how the cold is different here. This morning it was -35 C, but honestly it felt like -5 or -10.
Then I came upon Greg out for a run/walk with his dog. Greg’s beard was white with frost, a clear indication that it was much colder than I had thought.
Greg is hard at work putting the final interior touches on the new cabins. We’re sure looking forward to hosting guests in these four spacious units.
