The Kilnhouse and
Humble Hearth |
|
||
The Kilnhouse is the first building
seen upon arrival at the Edge. This building was a reconstructed from a century old
log home that was dismantled, moved here from Loring, Ontario (100 km), and reassembled.
Ask Greg to share his photo album, to see the people and events that have contributed to
the rebirth of this special space on the edge of Algonquin Park.
The Humble Hearth Dinner is served for Algonquin Park canoe trip guests in our unique canvas dining tent. Winter time is an especially nice time to enjoy the tranquility of candle lit dinner in this heated tent, while the snow blows about. Occasionally Greg and Vicki entertain smaller groups of guests prior to their canoe trip in Algonquin Park or backcountry overnight adventures for dinner in the kilnhouse, their home.
